Dr. Christopher P. Womack, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Chris Womack is co-owner of Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic. Chris Womack has been with the practice Since 1992. Graduating from vet school at Texas A&M University, Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine, Being in practice for so long has given me a vast knowledge of all different species. I pride myself on providing quality medicine. A passion of mine is herd health and helping clients achieve their ranching goals. I love to get away from town and go to the ranch with my border collie, Lucy. While at the ranch I enjoy improving the genetics of our herd. And did I mention I love cows?
Dr. Tyler Davidson, DVM
Dr. Tyler Davidson is a proud 2024 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dedicated to providing exceptional care for animals, he brings expertise and enthusiasm to every patient he sees. He has a passion for large animal and is wanting to pursue further education in orthopedic work.
When not at work, Dr. Davidson enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, fishing, and creating memories with his wife and daughter. He values family and community and is passionate about improving the health and well-being of pets.
Dr. Abbey Currie, DVM
Dr. Abbey Currie, DVM, is originally from Cut and Shoot, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree from Lubbock Christian University before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Currie is passionate about the impact veterinary medicine has on both animals and the people who love them. She especially enjoys working with livestock species and supporting exhibitors in keeping their animals healthy, thriving, and successful throughout their projects. She also values partnering with producers to support herd health and overall animal well-being. In every interaction, Dr. Currie strives to bring kindness, positivity, and compassion to her patients and clients, with a focus on improving lives through thoughtful, dedicated care.
Brad, Practice Manager
Brad has spent the past 20 years in veterinary medicine, and his heart for helping animals and the people who love them is still at the center of everything he does! He loves learning, growing, and finding new ways to make a difference for patients and clients, whether he’s helping them directly or supporting them behind the scenes. Brad is especially proud to be an advocate for the fur babies who can’t speak for themselves and to help ensure their needs are always heard. Outside of work, he’s happiest spending time with his spouse and their dogs, enjoying the outdoors & hitting a hiking trail, traveling, and discovering new places to explore throughout Texas.
Callie, Technician/Admin
Technician/Admin
Callie is a Technician/Admin at Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic. Callie Hooten has been with the practice Since 2014. I went to school in Mertzon and attended Angelo State University, I can draw blood from anything! Growing up on a ranch, I am comfortable working with large animals but I can still win over the fussy dogs and cats. I showed rabbits when I was younger and am now our resident rabbit nail trimmer. I have 2 dogs, Bandit and Riley, that love to play outside. My cat, Sancho is happy to play whenever we are inside. I’m always up for trying any new restaurant in town.
Clara, Veterinary Technician
Clara has been working in veterinary medicine for two years and attended Texas A&M University. She loves that there is always something new to learn in the veterinary space and is passionate about continuing to grow her knowledge so she can provide the best care possible for every patient! She especially enjoys being able to care for animals while helping them feel safe and comfortable along the way. When she’s not at work, Clara loves spending time with her husband and family, getting outdoors, and enjoying time with the people who mean the most to her.
Shelby, Receptionist/Technician

Shelby is a Receptionist/Technician at Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic. Shelby Henley has been with the practice Since 2020. I went to school at Angelo State University, I pride myself on taking care of patients effectively and efficiently. Communicating with clients about the proper care of their animals makes me happy. I enjoy photography and have been super excited to take a lot of the pictures on our website. I also enjoy crocheting, puzzles, and spending time with my pets. Heard any good crime podcasts lately?
Alexis, Receptionist
Receptionist
Alexis is a Receptionist at Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic. Alexis Lara has been with the practice Since 2018. I went to school in San Angelo and attended Howard College, As the first person our customer sees, I pride myself on being upbeat and friendly. Remembering people’s names and pets helps them feel at home. When not at the office, I love working in my new home and enjoy drawing, painting, and making blankets.
Rachael, Receptionist
With nearly nine years of experience in veterinary medicine, Rachael brings a diverse background and a genuine love for animals of all shapes and sizes! She has worked with exotic animals, cats, and dogs, and is excited to expand her knowledge as she begins exploring livestock medicine. Rachael and her husband moved to Texas a little over a year ago and have enjoyed making it their home alongside their two cats, Chimichurri and Yumi, who keep life entertaining! Outside of work, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, playing video games, and spending quality time with her husband and their two kitties.
